Ultreia, ultreia, et suseia, Deus adjuva nos!

Early morning. My bunk mate starting getting ready around 4:45. This woke me up. As he continued getting ready through 5, I remained awake. Knowing the walk we had ahead of us, I decided to just wake up and get started. I was on the road by 5:20. It was dark and moonless. That means stars.

It was a long day, and I captured most of it in my journal.

I may add more later. For now, I’ll share that when I arrived at my albergue, the sign in the dining room has the music and lyrics to the song the Frenchwoman was singing.

“Onward and upward. God help us.”
